Royal Bafokeng Stadium

Royal Bafokeng Stadium is a rugby union stadium and soccer located in Rustenburg, South Africa. The stadium was originally built as a venue for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. The stadium was named the nation's Royal Bakofeng.

Although originally founded as a rugby union stadium, the stadium is more often used for football matches after the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Like most soccer stadiums in South Africa, the land should be to the township in the area. Bafokeng nation extremely rich because of platinum mining in the area and the land of their culture and because of this, the stadium maintained in very good repair.

Currently, the stadium capacity is 38,000 people. Only small improvements would be done to bring the stadium to meet requirements for a stadium able to hold the first round matches and the second in 2010 FIFA World Cup. Capacity will be added to 42,000 people.

For 2010, small improvements such as installation of new electronic score board and floodlights and additional public system will make the Royal Bafokeng Stadium is ready to welcome the football supporters around the world.
