Green Point Stadium

Green Point Stadium is located in Cape Town, South Africa is a stadium that was constructed for the World Cup 2010. During the design phase of the stadium, the stadium is referred to several people (parties) as the "African Renaissance Stadium".
The stadium will be located at Green Point, between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean, near downtown Cape Town and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where shopping is a popular tourist spot. The stadium will have a capacity of about 68,000 seats. The stadium will also be connected to the sea by a new road connections, Granger Bay Boulevard, and will be surrounded by the urban park covering 60 hectares.

In the World Cup, this stadium will host 5th round group stage matches, one second round match, one quarter-final and one semi-final match.
The stadium will contain 68,000 seats to support during the FIFA World Cup 2010. Seating 55,000 places will remain a permanent and 15,000 modular seating will be used again in deconstruction.
